The Catalyst Week framework encourages breakthroughs and the refinement of ideas through two weekends of intensive work, collaboration, and feedback. The idea for this structure came from observing how many of the startups in Albuquerque get stuck between the initial validation of their ideas and the creation of a viable product to test in the market. Catalyst Week is a new idea from the Albuquerque startup community with potentially broad applications to keep entrepreneurs moving forward within our local innovation pipeline.
Catalyst Week is a ten day workshop starting with a weekend of intensive work where each group sets well-defined goals and then works toward those goals throughout the weekend.
- In the middle of the week, teams are paired with relevant professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to help the teams solve problems they encounter.
- The week finishes with a second weekend of intense focused work and a review of the progress the teams made over the week.
- Prizes will be awarded for the best projects and the most progress achieved.
- The goal is to motivate groups working on hard problems and help them grow the momentum they need to succeed in our innovation pipeline.
